Sarawak is the largest state in Malaysia and is located on 124,000 sq-km of land covering along the northwest coast of Borneo Island. The state, known also as the Land of The Hornbills also boast of over 28 ethnic groups; each with its own distinct language, culture and lifestyle. The state consist of 11 divisions, namely Kuching, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Sibu, Kapit, Bintulu, Mukah, Sarikei, Lawas, Miri and Betong.
Being a true diverse state, Sarawak has been blessed with political stability and the best of both worlds when it comes to tourism with not only offering among the best authentic city life, but also the adventurous rural lifestyle. With that said, Sarawak is home of the infamous Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) and the popular Miri International Jazz Festival (MIJF).
